You were cooking all day yesterday. While you may have been left satisfied and needing to undo the top button of your jeans - today is a new day, and - once again - you're going to have to eat. Some people do really fancy things with their leftover turkey. Some make lovely soups or intricut sandwiches with cranberry and stuffing and fancy schmancy bread.
But to be honest, after all that effort making fancy food on Thanksgiving, come Black Friday, I don't want to fuck about. Chances are, you've been shopping all bloody day enjoying the claustrophobic crowds of people and mass amounts of idiots, scaling their way across the busy malls of America, trying to find the best Day After Thanksgiving bargains.
So why not try out a couple of these easy peesy things for you to do with your leftovers?
Leftover Stuffing?
Heat it up in a bowl and it it by itself. I kid thee not, it's an easy, quick little meal to enjoy in between trips to the mall and to Target.
Leftover Cranberry Sauce?
Toast a bagel, slather on some cream cheese and then spread on some cranberry sauce on top of the cheese. (Of, if you're feeling adventurous, a little bit of stuffing, too.) It might be a little messy, but it shouldn't take you more than five minutes to make. Plus, it's delicious.
I Don't Want a Fucking Turkey Sandwich!
Sick and tired of turkey sandwiches after your turkey feast? Heat up some of the light meat and cut it into thin strips (if it's not already been cut up that way) and then add it to these quickie meals:
Easy Turkey Mac
It's easy! It's Macaroni and Cheese done in the microwave and all you have to do is throw in some turkey when it's done cooking. It will take you less than five minutes to make - do it!
Ghetto Turkey Quesadilla
While this would taste better grilled, you can't be bothered with turning on the stove today. And why should you have to? Grab a tortilla, smear on some mayonnaise, grab a couple slices of cheese and some chunks of turkey and put it in the microwave for about 30 seconds or so. Wrap it up, and it it whilst scanning the Internet for more shopping deals.
Stuffing Turkey Cranberry Crackers
Fed up with using plates? Pull out of the fridge the Tupperware with all the cranberry, stuffing and turkey, grab some of the Ritz crackers that you didn't use up while making the green bean casserole, and a spoon, and go to town.
Grab the cracker, add a bit of stuff, a chunk of turkey, and a bit of cranberry sauce to hold it all together, and eat it. You won't even have to sit down.
