Autumn's closing in.
It's getting to that time of the year when you spend more and more time in the house, when snuggling up with a book or in front of the TV suddenly seems more tempting than braving the rainy cold outside. But after an eventful summer your house/room is usually in need of some TLC.
Here are a couple of sites that might give you a bit of an inspirational push when it comes to decorating.
Eclectic Gipsyland is a brilliant Flickr-stream run by a French girl who scans quirky and inspiring decorating magazines. There are tons of pictures of bohemian camper vans, oriental rugs, moroccan themed houses and mismatching retro stuff. In other words everything a girl needs when it comes to eclectic decorating fun. Not really worth a look if you're into minimalism and prefer sleek shininess though, this is more about making all that clutter look pretty.
A lot of you are probably familiar with blogger Kris Atomic already. She runs a fairly popular design blog and takes a lot of awesome pictures. However it's worth just checking out all her posts tagged home & decor. There's a post about tree houses that might give some of you housing envy. Other than that most of it is just filled to the brim with PRETTY.
Betsy Johnson, fashion designer and New York wild child (even though she's now 67), doesn't only design fab looking clothes, she also has an awesome apartment. A kind Flickr-user was good enough to upload a huge scan of her flat. Just download the whole thing to see the apartment in its full quirky, shabby chic glory.
Finally, this house is just too good to not include in this list. Clingstone is an 130 year old mansion on a small island outside Rhode Island. It might not be placed in the most bustling location and looks like it could be a bit of a trek to get to, but for views like that, who cares.
