Technology makes it nearly impossible to want to send physical mail. Why use a pen and paper? You have to go and buy the damn stationary, then write out whatever it is what you want to say with a pen, you know, manually... it all seems like a pain n the ass.
(Especially considering that The Royal Mail is making impossible to send anything by post, anyway.)
However, there are a few occasions, both happy and sad, when a handwritten card is the way to go, and a Facebook message or Twitter reply would be a bit of an insult.
If you’re looking for a sympathy or generic “Happy Christening/ Birth/Engagement to that guy you’re settling for type message, your local greeting card shop has got it covered.
However, if you’re looking to add a bit more of a personal touch to a friend that lives on the other side of the world, or you’re simply a lazy ass and send greeting cards to your loved ones quite frequently, I’ve found some very cool greeting cards online for you to send.
Coincidentally, all three of these artist’s sell their fabulous cards through Tatty Devine’s onine shop. Easy peasy!

Described as “ group of illustrators/artists who just love to work on screenprinted collaborative projects”, Love to Print’s greeting cards are pretty damn cool. From typewriters and birds on bikes, to the message “You’re Ace” spelt out in yarn, Love to Print’s fabulous cards will help distract away from your horrid handwriting and poor spelling.

A collaborative effort between Lisa Jones and her partner Edward Underwood, the artwork that comes out of Lisa Jones Studio is bright, colourful, and bound to put a smile on your face. Whether it’s a racoon, a simple illustration of a slice of cake, or a “do not disturb” style sign on a door that says “just married", slipping a card from Lisa Jones Studio in the post will brighten the day of whoever you send it to!

If someone were to send me an illustration or greeting card from Tonwen Jones in the post, I’m pretty sure I would stick it in a frame and keep in on my desk until the end of time. Simple, creative and quirky, Tonwen Jones’s work completely stands out in a crowd. Dubbed a illustrator, artist and a photographer, I highly suggest you check out Jones’s work. It’s simply awesome.
