The thing about inventions is that despite how cool and fun they might seem, you always have to wonder why. Why do we need that? What’s the point?
And this is exactly how I feel about Liquid Cardboard.
Yes, Liquid Cardboard.
An invention created by the couple behind cardboardesign.com, Liquid Cardboard has different numbers - , like Chanel’s perfumes - and can move from one form to the next.
It’s admitedly pretty nifty.
At a recent tradeshow, a TV presenter that was crazy in love with Liquid Cardboard demonstrated that you can take a Liquid Cardboard vase, and turn it into a hat.
An ugly hat.
Why you’d want to turn your hat into a vase or vice versa, I’m not really sure.
Another one of CardBoarDesign's babies are the set of toys that they have for children. You know, made from cardboard. There are castles and tables and tepees that are big enough for kiddos to climb into. You can paint and draw on them...but at the end of they day, they’re bloody cardboard.
CardBoarDesign say this is awesome because “any parent knows” that when you get a kid a present, they more often than not just end up playing with the box. So, they’ve mad toys made of boxes.
Maybe they’re mistaking children for cats, as I’ve known many a feline partial to cardboard boxes, but what do I know.
Anyway, this video of Liquid Cardboard in action is quite nifty. Or hilarious for all the wrong reasons. I’m unsure.
