It’s time to ring in the New Year and what better way to do so than with a champagne cocktail? Nothing says “It’s a Celebration, Bitches!” quite like a bit of bubbly. Champagne is my favorite potent potable next to vodka. It makes every activity a party. In college I once drank champagne before moving and it can really turn ANYTHING into a party.
Here are three simple fruity champagne cocktails that can make your New Year’s Eve a little more festive. Even though only sparkling white wines from the Champagne region of France can be called champagne for the following cocktails any good sparkling white wine will do.
Kir Royale
This cocktail is light and fruity. The deep color also makes it an eye pleaser adding a shock of color to your next event.
Make it!
1 tablespoon crème de cassis or Chambord per champagne flute
Top with Champagne
Garnish with strips of orange or tangerine zest.
Bellini

The bellini always reminds me of a sunny days of summer. On a chilly New Year’s Eve a little sunny drink might be all you need to keep warm.
Make it!
2oz peach nectar
3 1/2 oz champagne.
Garnish with a peach slice or frozen peaches
Mimosa
The classic champagne cocktail, this one isn’t just for brunch anymore. What better way to get a little vitamin c then with a bubbly addition?

Happy New Year!
