Tequila may not make a lot of people thing of passion and romance, but personally, I think there’s nothing more loving than someone buying me a shot of Patrón Silver. Only your enemy would buy you a cocktail or shot of something made with Jose Cuervo Gold. (I gag and recoil in horror at the thought.)
Most tequila lovers will agree that Patrón is one of the finest tequilas around. Packed and distilled by hand, Patrón is made from the finest 100 per cent weaber blue agave, which is grown in the highlands of Jalisco in Mexico.
Amazingly, over 60 hands check the standard of each individually numbered and crafted bottle of Patrón. Plus, every batch is tasted and its whole process overseen by Patrón’s master distiller, Francisco Alcaraz : “The Grandfather of Tequila”.
(They don’t ‘eff around at Patrón!)
So, this weekend, instead of making the usual Cosmo or wooing your loved one with some pink bubbly – I say give ‘em one of Patrón’s Valentine’s Day cocktails.
Sure, champagne and G&Ts are nice – but they certainly don’t have the same smooth kick as Patrón.
We recently made one the Patrón Passion Tini, and as it completely blew our minds, our good friends at Patrón are more than happy to share their delicious recipe with our lovely BitchBuzz readers. Lucky you!
Ingredients
1 oz Patrón Anejo
1 oz Monin Passion Fruit Syrup
1 Lemon
¼ oz. Simple Syrup
Slice of lime (to garnish)
Directions
Combine the Patrón Anejoin, the Monin Passion Fruit Syrup, Simple Syrup and two squeezes of lemon juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake it vigorously, and then strain into a martini glass.
I garnished my cocktail with a slice of lemon and wedge of lime, but you don't have to!
Enjoy!
