Shameless Summer Spritzers from MARTINI

By Jo Gifford

YES!!! The alcoholic in me is rejoicing with glee that MARTINI have just launched a couple of drinky poos ideal for sitting outside and getting slowly sozzled.

Oooh yes. Bottoms up girls -  the MARTINI Bianco and soda or MARTINI Rosatto and soda, aka the Iltalian Spriter, weighs in at one unit of alcohol and 105 calories per drink compared to heavyweight vino at 185 calories.

Now, BitchBuzz takes its drinks testing very seriously, and for you, our loyal readers, we sampled the Italian Spitzer. I know, so kind. The verdict? This is good stuff. We tried the MARTINI Rosatto and soda, which is sweet without being overtly so, hitting back with a bit of raspberry and cinnamon. With the soda it is not unlike a rosé wine, and we reckon it's a lighter alternative to the trusty grape for evening tipples and BBQ's.

If Rome isn't on the cards for this Summer make your own aperitivo hour with this stuff , though you may have to imagine the Italian eye candy.
