Gimmicky coffee drinks are incredibly annoying. Frappé-coconut-strawyberry-cooler-whatever, I say.
So when I first spotted the new Starbucks Discoveries drink in my local Starbucks, I rolled my eyes. I admit it. I was pleased to see that Doubleshot cans had finally made it to the UK, however, I was unsure what this Seattle Latte business was about.
But! After having the opportunity to try the Aztlàn Mocha Latte (chocolate), Qandi Latte(caramel) and Seattle Latte (classic latte) Discoveries drinks at a fabulous Starbucks and Mills & Boon event, I am now hooked. So hooked, in fact, it's a little embarrassing.
Made with Starbucks Fairtrade coffee, as well as fair-trade sugar, the new Starbucks Discoveries are not only tasty, but they’re actually not that bad on the calorie front. While I don’t see the point in buying one of these puppies in a Starbucks in replacement for your usual drink (why get a bottled latte when you can get a fresh one?) I do recommend buying a couple Starbucks Discoveries and bringing them home to have in your fridge.

As much as I like making my own espresso drinks at home, being able to just head over to my fridge and pop open a Seattle Latte and have a cold, Starbucks coffee in my home without having to do anything (never mind leaving my house) is awesome.
So go ahead and give it a try! I promise you will not be disappointed.
