For those of you who love property shows like Location, Location, Location and interior decorating shows like those found on HGTV, you are going to love Kelly Hoppen’s new show, Superior Interiors.
On a mission to tackle bad taste, in Kelly’s new series she’s invited in to the homes of five families who are in dire need of some design help. From rooms cluttered with Buddha statues and crystals, broken kitchen tiles and overly garish pink bedrooms, Kelly seriously has her work cut out for her. Think of her as the interior design world’s Mary Portas - she goes in, sees what the problem is, and then has to battle strong personalities and people’s overwhelmingly bad taste to get the job done. It makes for seriously great television.
Tonight sees Superior Interiors with Kelly Hoppen’s debut on Channel 5 where we meet the DiMartinos, a family who wants to transform their garage in to a social family space. Sounds all well and good, however, the Dimartino family have a penchant for themes. (Oh yes. THEMES.) From a Tikki bar in the back garden to an obsession with New York Italian films like The Godfather, Kelly has her hands full making this family's dreams come true. I mean, just look at the garage before!
