Toys for Grown-Ups: Vinyl Stickers

By Claire Tayler

Stickers were great for putting on plastic Care Bear lunch boxes, although they aren't so trendy nowadays.

If you're a Mac owner did you open your shiny new computer box, joyfully pull out the white apple-shaped stickers proceed to stick them all over your thousand pound machine?

I didn't, because I am a snob and like the idea of my shiny machine staying sleek not looking like '90s garbage. Sleek now it is not having added one small dent and some dirt to its repertoire).

However, I might be forced to change my mind on the tacky sticker-front having seen a super sexy sticker designed for Macs from Hu2.  What makes it sexy?  Well, in the photo above, the stick is French written in Italics.

There're also some fluffy-looking birds available to adorn your Laptop with, but in my book they don't really trump French italics.

Whilst the rest of the site seems intent on designing stickers that look ready for an ad company wall, (which pleases me less since at home I'm more about warm lights, nice wood and paisley scarves) there are some nice gems for your kitchen.

However, if you do feel like getting yourself a fridge sticker it's important to note that the amount of space indicated for cupcakes in a fridge is too small, and indications should be ignored at all times, however arty and pretty.

Be aware that any avid cupcake eater is unlikely to put them in the fridge. As I learned recently, cupcakes and fridges equals bad karma.

Indeed. Cupcakes + fridge = wrong. However, that French Apple sticker is so so right :-)
