There are few things in life that are as sweet and as comforting as standing in front of the Hostess Cakes display at your local grocery store, and trying to decide what to buy. Do you go for the Cupcakes or the Twinkies? The Ding-Dongs or the Ho-Hos? It's a decision few can make easily.
Personally, I'm a big fan of the Hostess Cupcakes - although Twinkies and Ho-Hos are pretty high up there on the list.
Therefore, you can imagine my enthusiasm when I discovered that there is quite a selection of both Hostess related products and recipes out there!
Loungefly carries everything from Twinkie socks, to lunch boxes, to totes.
And did you know that Twinkie even have a recipe book? Apparently there are more things you can do with a Twinkie aside from shoving it in your face while contemplating if you have enough room for your second packet of Ho-Hos.
Behold the Twinkie Toffee Treat:
Ingredients
1 box Hostess Twinkies
2 prepared packages of pudding (Chocolate or Vanilla)
1 large tub of whipped topping
6 Heath candy bars
Directions
Crush Heath candy bars in a sturdy plastic bag.
Cut Twinkies lengthwise
and line bottom of glass pan with Twinkies, creme side up.
Add a layer
of pudding. Layer with remaining Twinkies, creme side down.
Top with
the whipped topping. Sprinkle with the crushed candies. Serve
immediately and enjoy!
