I thought this week, instead of giving you one Christmas themed recipe, I'd put together a whole Christmas feast culled from my favorite blogs!
First, for breakfast, while opening presents, what could be better than Babycakes NYC's Banana Bread? I'm kind of completely obsessed with Babycakes, which you might find out after spending about five minutes with me at any given time. Not only is this wonderful loaf vegan, but it's also gluten-free! Hooray! I recommend adding one cup of chocolate chips to make it extra special.
For the big Christmas lunch, start out with this glorious Roast Mushroom and Bread Salad from Stone Soup. Just use your favorite non-dairy butter and non-dairy Parmesan. Then how about this delectable Mac and Cheese from Veg News with a side of these fancy Chickpeas from C'est Le Vegan? If you're still hungry, how about filling up on this Rustic Winter Stew? That's sure to leave you cozy enough to pass out under the tree surrounded by all your new presents.
For dessert try the (Never Home) Maker's Night Cap Fudge. Not only is it easy to make, it's also boozy. What a delight! Pair that fudge with some of the Post Punk Kitchen's Egg Nog, and you'll be properly nog-faced by bedtime. Looking for something a bit more involved? Why not try this gorgeous Panforte with Candied Quince from The Wednesday Chef. Just swap out the honey for agave nectar, and you've got yourself a vegan version! Still haven't satisfied that sweet tooth? Well how about this Holiday Spiced Creme Brulee? I'll wait until you collect your jaw up off the floor.
For snacks (incredibly addictive, totally tasty, you'll keep eating handfuls until your tongue starts to hurt from too much sugar, snacks) make Naomi's homemade Crunchie bars. I made them over the weekend, and holy crap they're DELICIOUS.
From my kitchen to yours, Merry Christmas and happy eating!
